
The Martha Jefferson Reproductive Technology Laboratory is a
highly specialized clinical laboratory owned and operated by
Martha Jefferson Hospital. The mission of the MJRTL is to deliver
the highest possible laboratory support for reproductive health
care and offers state-of-the-art procedures in andrology, embryology
and cryobiology.
Completed in 2006, the laboratory was constructed
to create an ideal environment for the culture of human reproductive
cells with special emphasis placed on air quality systems. The
lab is operated in accordance with federal laws and regulations
(CLIA # 49D1043925) and is site inspected by the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Federal
Drug Administration.
Clinical outcomes from in vitro fertilization
procedures are reported annually to a public access database
created under the Fertility Clinic Success Rate and Certification
Act of 1992 and maintained by the Centers for Disease Control
.
